Auto Dealerships
Dealership image programs are exacting — and the showroom can never close. Davis & Adams has completed renovations, additions, and multi-phase expansions for Penske Automotive Group across Mazda, Acura, Honda, and Lexus stores, sequencing construction so sales and service continue uninterrupted while the facility transforms around them.
Feature Project: Penske Auto Group – Lexus San Diego
San Diego, CA
Davis & Adams Construction completed a multi-phase, $14.5 million design-build renovation and expansion for Kearny Mesa Lexus. Executed while the dealership remained fully operational, the comprehensive redevelopment modernized the facility, expanded service capacity, and enhanced the customer experience — all in alignment with Lexus brand standards.
Phase 1: a $5 million, 8,823-square-foot showroom and customer facility renovation — interior improvements, new framing, ceilings, finishes, lighting, power, plumbing, HVAC, façade modernization, and site improvements. Phase 2: a $7.8 million service operations expansion featuring 11,897 square feet of new service area, a 4,389-square-foot service canopy, and renovation of 4,414 square feet of existing facilities. Phase 3: $1.7 million renovating business and service reception areas, employee facilities, and a new 874-square-foot vehicle delivery canopy.
As design-build contractor, Davis & Adams coordinated the architectural, structural, civil, and MEP disciplines across every phase — with the planning, logistics, and sequencing needed to keep customers, staff, and service operations moving throughout construction.
